Healing After Betrayal

Your world has shattered. You’ve lost trust in your partner, and you’ve lost trust in yourself. You wonder how you could have missed the signs. You wonder what’s wrong with you. You also wonder if you’re the only one who feels this way.

You’re not.

Many times, it can feel as if the betrayer gets all the help while you are left alone to figure out how to survive in this new reality. It feels unfair and unhelpful both to you and to your relationship. But the truth is, you’re not alone. And you deserve to go on your own journey of healing in a place where you feel seen and understood.

You deserve a community of your own.

Healing in Community

This group therapy aims to provide a safe space for women going through betrayal trauma.

We will utilize the workbook Facing Heartbreak in our support groups to ground our discussions. Each week of this eight-week journey will center around a specific aspect of your healing, covering themes such as establishing safety, reducing shame, and embracing personal empowerment.

My goal is to help trauma survivors find the encouragement, support, and tools that they need to help them both understand their pain and also work through it into a place of healing and peace.

Healing from traumatic events cannot be done alone, and beyond having a dedicated time to prioritize yourself and your journey each week, a therapy group has many other benefits and helpful resources including:

  • A place where you can share your struggles and thus reduce the shame you experience

  • An opportunity to learn from other trauma survivors who may be at different points in their own healing

  • Gaining a perspective different from your own and learning where you might have blind spots

  • Connection with others where you can feel safe and have accountability and support
